Superior Metal Systems, Inc. was developed to fill a void which was recognized in the design, manufacturing and installation of Standing Seam Metal Roofing Systems. (SSMRS). Contractors continuously ran into obstacles that either prevented them from bidding certain jobs, or from being able to work in an effecient and timely manner on the jobs they were installing.

Superior Metal Systems, Inc. (SMS) was founded to manufacture metal roof systems in order to have better control over the design phase, drawings, engineering and material procurement.  The decision was made to have the neccessary testing done to meet the evolving specification requirements that where becoming more and more stringent.

The requirements process involved years of testing new clips and panel seaming procedures to meet the standards being specified by architects and engineers on school, military and other projects.  Standard SMACNA and NRCA metal details were incorporated throughout the metal roofing system to improve the water tightness and appearance of the system.

SMS provides all the panels, flashing, and trim materials to our builders / installers that have met the SMS criteria for quality and training.  Our commitment is to provide builders/installers with timely response on engineering and other technical data, on-time material delivery, and prompt response to questions arising during the planning and construction phases.
